Starcatcher Privacy Policy
About this app
Starcatcher is a free casual game for Android made by BossMakers Developer Studio (“we”). This policy explains what information the app uses and why. It applies to the Starcatcher app on Google Play (package name com.bossmakers.starcatcher). The game is intended for players aged 13 and over.
Information stored on your device
Starcatcher has no accounts and we do not run any servers that collect player data.
- Nickname: when you first open the game you can type a nickname (or skip). It is saved only on your device and is used on the score pictures you choose to share. We never receive it.
- Best scores: your best score for each level is saved only on your device.
This information is deleted when you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app.
Sharing your score
When you tap Share, the game creates a picture on your device with a screenshot of the game screen, your nickname and your score(s), plus a message with a download link. Android then shows its share menu so you can choose an app (for example WhatsApp). Nothing is shared unless you choose an app and send it. We do not receive the picture or the message; the app you share with handles them under its own privacy policy.
Advertising
Starcatcher is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob: full-screen ads between games and optional reward videos (“Watch video: +1 life”). Ads are limited to content rated up to PG.
To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google’s software may collect and use information about your device, such as the Android advertising ID, IP address, approximate location (based on IP address), device model, operating system version and how you interact with the ads. Depending on your choices and where you live, ads may be personalised. We do not receive or store this information; Google processes it under its own policies.
Your choices: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game shows Google’s consent message before ads load so you can choose how your data is used for ads. Anywhere, you can reset your advertising ID or turn off ads personalisation in your phone’s settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some phones).
Age requirement
Starcatcher is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will help.
App permissions
The app uses internet and network access to load ads, and the advertising ID permission so that Google can show and measure ads. It does not use the camera, microphone, contacts, files or precise location.
In-app purchases
There are no in-app purchases.

The app uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google’s User Messaging Platform for ad consent, which follow Google’s own policies:
Data security and retention
We do not run servers that store player data, so we hold no data about you. Your nickname and best scores stay on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Information processed by Google for ads is kept according to Google’s privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The latest version is always at this address, with the date it was last updated at the top.
